Thomas Jay “Tommy” LaMascus of Wynnewood, formerly of Maysville was born on December 25, 1942 in Oxnard, California to Foster Weldon and Olive Cordelia (Jenkins) LaMascus. He passed from this life on Monday, June 5, 2017 in Ardmore, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years. Tommy graduated from Elmore City High School in 1960. He married Patricia Bostic on February 11, 1962 in Maysville and they made their home there until 2000 when they moved to Wynnewood. During his working years, Tommy was a truck driver for Warren, Gulf, and Acord Trucking and as an oilfield pumper for Cheyenne Oil and Gas. He loved his family and spending time with them. He enjoyed muscle cars like the Ford Mustangs, especially his Shelby, and playing golf. Tommy was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His survivors include his wife of 55 years, Patricia of the home. A son, Mike LaMascus and wife Amber of Sulphur. Daughter, Beth Ann Hammett and husband Mike of Dickenson, Texas. Grandchildren: Trey, Zach, Sara, Shelbi, Clayton, and Grace. Great grandchildren: Tyson, Abbey, and Jasper. Sisters: Virginia Wingo of Davis and Jeanne Fischelli of Dallas, Texas. and other relatives and friends made throughout the years. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Foster and Cordelia LaMascus; brothers, John and O. C. LaMascus; and a sister, Mary Richardson. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church, Maysville, OK with Bro. Mike Deviney offficiating.
