Kitty Carol Beck

Kitty Carol Kelly Vanderslice Beck of Maysville was born on December 3, 1937 in Alexandria, Louisiana to Carl Kelly and Evelyn (Vanderslice) Brown. Carol joined her Lord in heaven on June 1, 2017 at the age of 79 years. She passed from this life in Norman, Oklahoma at the Norman Regional Hospital. Carol was raised by her grandparents, Jake and Virginia Vanderslice from the age of four years and she went to numerous schools as a child. When she was in the ninth grade she started Haskell school, which is an Indian boarding school at Lawrence, Kansas, and she graduated from Haskell High School in 1955. Carol married Benny Beck on June 23, 1956 at Marietta, Oklahoma and they were married for 58 years and to this union four children were born. She loved cooking and spending time with her family and never missed any of her children’s athletic events. Carol liked to fish, go out to eat with her boys, and watch western movies. She enjoyed going to church and being with her church family at the Abundant Love Fellowship for 40 years. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her survivors include her sons, Kelly Beck and wife Sharon of Pauls Valley and James Beck and wife Amy of Maysville. Grandchildren: Jamie Taylor, Odella Keith, Daniel Beck, Brian Beck, Ivan Beck, Michael Haigood and Stacy Haigood. Great grandchildren: Ava Jane and Ella Keith, Gracie and Nicholas Taylor, Ariel and Hazzelle Grayce Beck, Aiden and Bailey Beck. A sister, Genie Burge of Ada. Brothers, Jeff Morrell and wife Virginia of Blanchard and Bob Morrell in Mustang. And many nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by husband Benny Beck, son Karl Beck, daughter Debbye Beck, her parents, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, June 5, 2017 at the Abundant Love Fellowship, Maysville with Rev. Danny Gamble officiating.
