Dorotha Lee Adams

Dorotha Lee Adams of Grand Prairie, Texas was born on August 24, 1925 in Antioch, Oklahoma to Vernon and Gussie (Hardeman) Norvill. She passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017 in Irving, Texas at the age of 91 years. Dorotha was a graduate of Elmore City High School. She married Garland Adams on May 19, 1943 and they were together for 48 years before he preceded her in death in 1991. She was a homemaker and lived in Grand Prairie, Texas for 57 years. She loved spending time with her family and cooking for them. Dorotha enjoyed working in her yard, growing flowers, and sewing clothes for her family. She will be dearly missed by her all who knew her. Survivors include her sons, Vance Adams and wife Wanda of Grand Prairie, Texas and Lance Adams and wife Cindy of Arlington, Texas . A daughter, Vicki Hines and husband Steve of Grand Prairie, Texas. Brother, Jack Norvill of Chickasha, Oklahoma. 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Dorotha was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Gussie Norvill; her husband Garland; a daughter, Nedra Dolores Adams; and sisters, Mary Lou Sherry and Daphine Womack. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, April 20, 2017 at the Maysville Cemetery with comments by her brother, Jack Norvill. Burial is under the direction of John W.
