Shari Lynn Rushing, 55, of Lindsay was born on July 15, 1961 in Lindsay, Oklahoma to Fred Marion Davis, Sr. and Mary Della (Knox) Davis. She passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2017 in Lindsay. Shari has lived her entire life in Lindsay, graduating from Lindsay High School in 1979. Mike Rushing was the love of her life and she loved him so much that she married him on June 15th & 16th in 1979. She worked as a secretary for her parents who owned Fred’s Rat Hole Service in Lindsay. Shari loved spending time with her family and friends, her cats, all things pink and blingy, her blonde hair, eating Twinkies, golfing in her fancy golf cart, shopping and buying for others, fishing, floating the river, tanning, and traveling, but she hated to have her picture taken. Sixteen years ago her great niece, Hope, named her “She-She” and then everyone started calling by that name. She will be greatly missed by all her knew her. Her husband of 37 years Mike of the home in Lindsay and daughter, Amanda Rushing both of Lindsay. A sister, Jody Holden and husband Mark, brother, Mike Davis and Barbara Bruce and sister-in-law, Lisa Davis all of Lindsay. Brother-in-law, Willie Rushing and mother-in-law, Sammie Rushing, both of Lindsay. Shari was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mary Davis, and brothers, Freddie Davis and Jeff Davis. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm, Monday, February 27, 2107 at the Church of Christ in Lindsay with Josh Howe and Larry Winn officiating.
