Linda Michelle Gower Philpott

Linda Michelle Gower-Philpott, age 55, passed away unexpectedly on February 8, 2017 at her home in Maysville, OK. Linda was born on November 15, 1961 in San Diego, California. Linda graduated from Maysville High School in 1979 and had been a resident of the community for many years. She attended the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in Chickasha, OK, Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, OK, Southwestern Christian University in Bethany, OK; and Oklahoma State University of Oklahoma City. Linda (or “Shell” as she was known to her family) was born to the late Roy Gower and is survived by her mother, Quanah (Staley) Gower of Maysville; brother Rick Gower and wife and Donna Gower of Norman, OK; daughter Annalee Gilmore and husband John Gilmore of Pauls Valley, OK; son Jonathan Philpott and wife Lydia Philpott of Blanchard, OK; two granddaughters Adriana and Alessandra Philpott of Blanchard; two nephews Josh Gower and wife Heather Gower of Tulsa, OK, Jacob Gower of Norman, OK; two nieces Katie Cooper and husband Luke Cooper of Mustang, OK, Kylie Gower of Norman, OK; as well as a great nephew and nieces. Linda was a passionate believer in Christ from a young age, which carried her through the struggles she battled with her medical issues for the latter part of her adult life. Linda enjoyed most being a florist with Floral and Hardy in Oklahoma City. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, February 13, 2017 at the First Assembly of God Church, 23720 Hwy 19, Maysville, Oklahoma with Rev. Billy Davenport officiating. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville.
