Mickey Gene Albright

July 23, 1948 — January 12, 2017

Mickey Gene Albright was born on July 23, 1948 in Amherst, Texas to Leo Loyd Albright, Jr. and Doris Lauretta (Morton) Albright. He passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at his home, south of Maysville, at the age of 68 years. Mickey lived in Maysville all of his life, graduating from Maysville High School in 1966. He served his country honorably as a soldier in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He made his living in the oilfield in a variety of different roles both on and off shore. Mickey loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He enjoyed visiting with people everywhere he went and even got a kick out of aggravating others. Mickey liked going to the lake, fishing, and was a big fan of OU football; and he was always proud of his vegetable garden and couldn’t wait to share them with everyone. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His survivors include his son, Ryan Albright and wife Amanda of Edmond. Daughter, Emily Albright of Maysville and step-daughter, Misti Sanders of Mustang. Brothers: Robert Albright and wife Loaney of Wynnewood, Paul Don Albright of Maysville, and Terry Albright and wife Eulonda of Maysville. A sister, Joy Franklin and husband Billy of Lindsay. Grandchildren, Isabella Gene Albright, Tayler and Brandi Albright. And a host of other relatives and friends. Mickey was preceded in death by his parents, Junior and Doris Albright; his infant twin sister, Linda Darlene Albright; and brother, Ricky Dale Albright. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 - 8 pm, Monday, January 16, 2017 at Winans Funeral Home, Maysville. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, Maysville with Bro. Danny Gamble officiating. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
