Mary Mariam Walters

Mary Mariam Walters of Lindsay was born on January 15, 1941 in Canton, Ohio to Howard Kosht and Bertha (Marks) Kosht. She passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at her daughter’s home at the age of 75 years. Mary lived in Mansfield, Ohio before moving to Lindsay in 2007. She loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casinos, doing leatherwork, working on the computer, and was a big fan of professional wrestling. Mary was a member of the Church of Christ. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her survivors include her husband, Thomas Walters of the home in Lindsay. Sons: Dale Root of Lindsay and Mike Walters and wife Kalene of Hayes, Kansas. Daughters: Rose Morrison of Lewis, Kansas; Corena Henson of Lindsay; Tammy Hewes and husband P. J. Of Lindsay, and Karol of Ohio. Brothers: Gerald Kosht of Hayesville, Ohio and Don Kosht of Haysville, Kansas, and Floyd Kosht. Sisters: Marlynn Roud of Mesa, Arizona, Corena Stump of Canton, Ohio, and Lois Kocheiser of Apache Junction, Arizona. And multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Bertha Kosht; a great grandson, Alexander Root; and a sister, Annabell Kosht. Private family services will be held at a later date.
