Ozella Christine Brown

Ozella Christine Brown of Lindsay was born on April 8, 1939 in Wayne, Oklahoma to John Allen Sullivan and Ninnie Jane (Pope) Sullivan. She passed from this life on Friday morning, September 16, 2016 at her son, Jason’s home with her loving family by her side. She was 77 years old. Ozella was raised in the Wayne area where she graduated from high school in 1957 as the Salutatorian of her class. After graduation she got married and raised three sons in the Lindsay/Maysville area. Ozella worked as a secretary at the Burford Corporation for several years before spending 16 years as a loan secretary at the American Exchange Bank in Lindsay. She finished her career with 10 years at the Garvin County District 1 Yard retiring in 2009. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and going to all of their activities they were involved in. Ozella loved traveling, going on cruises, shopping, and crocheting. She was a great housekeeper and loved collecting photographs and jewelry. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Lindsay. Ozella will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. Her survivors include her three sons, Kenneth Lee Brown and his wife Jeannie of Lindsay; Greg Brown and wife Michelle of Maysville; and Jason Brown and wife Kelly of Lindsay. Nine Grandsons, Jeremy Brown, Michael Brown, Jonathon Brown, Nick Brown, Garrid Brown, Landon Brown, Kell Brown, Kaleb Brown, and Kotton Brown. And five great grandchildren. Ozella was preceded in death by her parents, John Allen and Ninnie Jane Sullivan; and a sister, Clara Nelson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, September 19, 2016 at the Calvary Baptist Church, Lindsay with Bro. Tim Carr officiating. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Purcell under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
