Shirley Lee Davis

Shirley Lee Davis was born on April 19, 1941 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Johnny Leroy and Mildred Odessa (Childress) Hearon. She passed from this life on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at her home in Lindsay at the age of 75 years. Shirley was a 1959 graduate of Bradley High School and a resident of the Lindsay area for 50 years. She worked at Eubanks in Lindsay for many years. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her dog, Priss. For date night with the grandchildren, whom she loved very much, they enjoyed watching Thunder basketball games. Shirley was very active member of the Calvary Baptist Church and had taught Sunday School for 30 - 50 years and was also involved with Keenagers. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her survivors include her daughters, Renee’ Chastain and husband Bud of Wichita Falls, Texas, Dianna Johnson and husband Matt of Chickasha, and Linda Tecumseh of Lindsay. A brother, Johnny Hearon of San Antonio, Texas. Grandchildren: Neesha Rivers, Max Chastain, Kaleena Williamson, Michael Chastain, LaKrisha Ignacio, Brad Johnson, Dustin Tecumseh, Kristi Tecumseh, Brandi Tecumseh, and 13 great grandchildren. And other relatives and friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Odessa Hearon, husband, Thomas Davis, and great granddaughter, Bailey Ignacio Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Lindsay with Rev. Brandon Coltrell. Burial will be in the Green Hill Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville.
