Charles "Cowboy" Lonzo Stewart

Charles Lonzo “Cowboy” Stewart was born on December 28, 1948 in Lindsay, Oklahoma to Robert Lonzo and Amy Oleta (Lambert) Stewart. He passed from this life on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at his home in Maysville at the age of 67 years. Cowboy was a lifetime resident of this area working in the oilfield as a salesman. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, and watching television, especially the Andy Griffith Show. He was a real people person who enjoyed socializing and he liked fast cars. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Cowboy will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His survivors include his sons: Robert Stewart of Maysville, and Eric Stewart and wife Rhonda of Lindsay. Daughter, Christy Eaves and her girls of Atoka. Step-children: Joshua Minor of Augusta, Georgia, Jeremiah Minor of Kline, Texas, Randi Minor of Atoka, and Heather Minor of Atoka. A brother, Robert Lee Stewart of Vega, Texas. Sisters: Amy Lance and husband Max, Virginia Eldridge, and Tayana Richardson all of Maysville. 22 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives. Cowboy was preceded in death by his parents, Lon and Oleta Stewart; grandson, Anthony Stewart; brother, James Stewart; and nephew, Kevin Lee Stewart. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8 pm, Monday, April 11, 2016 at Winans Funeral Home, 405 6th Street, Maysville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at the First Assembly of God Church, Maysville with Rev. Billy Davenport officiating.
