Patricia "Pat" Ann Taylor

Patricia Ann “Pat” Taylor was born on October 28, 1937 to John M. and Velma Fannie (Burger) Taylor in Paoli, Oklahoma. She passed away March 15, 2016 at her home in Maysville, Oklahoma at the age of 78. Pat lived in the Paoli, Pauls Valley, and Dibble areas before moving to Maysville. She attended Jr. high school in Pauls Valley. She married James Joe Taylor on May 25, 1953. They made Maysville their home. Pat then graduated from Maysville High School in 1965. Above all things Pat loved her family. She was very talented in gardening and floral work. She owned and operated Pat’s Flowers for many years. Pat employed her family members to teach them, but more importantly to have them working beside her while enjoying their company. Along with her florist she had a beautiful greenhouse and garden center. Pat also had a love for animals. She owned and operated dog kennels for years and was very selective that the new owner was matched with the right dog. Pat was an avid reader. She read books, catalogs, and trade journals. She enjoyed keeping up with trends of her trade and interests. Pat always enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren being by her side laughing and playing. Survivors include son, Bill Taylor and wife Joy of Maysville, Oklahoma. Daughters: Judy Idleman and husband Tommy of Maysville, Oklahoma; Tammy Idleman and Rick Williams of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; Brandi Robertson of Maysville, Oklahoma; and Cindy White of Maysville, Oklahoma. Sister, Debbie Adams of Ada, Oklahoma. 16 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren Pat is preceded in death by her husband, James in 2003; her brothers, Gead and Dale Taylor; and grandson, Steve Akerman. Funeral services will be held Saturday March 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Maysville, Oklahoma with Bro. Andrew Payne officiating. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Condolences to the family made be made at www.winansfuneralhome.com
