Carlos "Corky" Arthur Williamson

Carlos Arthur “Corky” Williamson of Norman, formerly of Lindsay was born on July 20, 1929 in Rush Springs, Oklahoma to Carlous Aubrey and Lena Ernest (Baker) Williamson. He passed from this life on Monday, February 1, 2016 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years. Corky grew up in Rush Springs where he graduated high school in 1947. He married Betty Jo Doyel on March 31, 1950 at Rush Springs. He worked as a pipeline foreman and Superintendent for Sun Pipeline Company until his retirement in 1991. While working in the oilfield, Corky also worked as a rancher on the side. He and Betty Jo had lived in Seminole before moving to Lindsay in 1988 and lived there until June 2015 when they moved to a retirement center in Norman. He enjoyed spending time with his family, rodeos, ranching, raising cattle, and working the land. When he was not ranching, he and Betty Jo liked to travel the U.S.A., Great Britain, and Ireland. Corky was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lindsay. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His survivors include his wife of 65 years, Betty Jo of the home in Norman. Corky's children, spouses, grandchildren, and great grandchildren are: Daughter: Carla and Danny Henson of Norman, OK, and Granddaughter: Tara and Wade Sanders and Great granddaughter, Kate Sanders of Baltimore, MD Daughter: Cheryl and Lane Eaton of Kilgore, TX and Grandson: Wes Ferguson of Austin, TX; Grandson: Dan and Coty Ferguson and Great grandchildren, Jonathan and Emmalee Ferguson of Gladewater, TX; Grandson: Joe and Lucy Ferguson and Great grandsons, Kristian and Andrew Ferguson of Gladewater, TX Son: Joel Williamson of Purcell, OK and Grandson: Tyler Williamson of Purcell, OK Corky's Step Grandchildren and step great grandchildren are: Sam and Jenny Lines of Wichita, KS and children: Sam, Mark, Nick, Emily, Nate, and Will Justin Lines of Fate, TX, and his children: Spencer, Kaysar, and Whitney Luke and Lauren Eaton of Madison, Mississippi, and children: Rob and Rhett Paul and Alma Eaton of Kilgore, TX, and child: Niko Kyle Eaton of Columbia, Maryland Erin and Lily Walker of Guthrie, OK Ashley Walker of Tuttle, OK Darron Henson of Kingston,OK, and his children: Maddy and Ellie Robyn Henson of Norman, OK, and her child: Remie Buck Corky was preceded in death by his parents, Carlous and Lena Williamson; sister, Inez Nix; and grandson, Derek Long. A visitation for family and friends will be held 6 - 8 pm, Friday, February 5, 2016 at Winans Funeral Home, 405 Sixth Street, Maysville. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the First Baptist Church, Lindsay, OK with Rev. Bill Love and Pastor Johnny Beckham officiating.
