Martha Etta Snell

Martha Etta Snell of Maysville was born on April 2, 1932 in Crowell, Texas to Robert Charles Schlagal and Dorella (Green) Schlagal. She passed from this life on Sunday, December 6, 2015 in Oklahoma City at the age of 83 years. Martha graduated from Rankin High School. She married Grady Harold Snell on December 18, 1948 in Rankin, Texas and they were married 58 years before his death. She lived in Texas and Arkansas before moving to Maysville 7 years ago. Martha loved taking care of her family and enjoyed crocheting and fishing. She liked all kinds of sports and was an avid fan of all. Martha was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church in Texas. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her survivors include her son, Robert Snell and his wife, Suzanne of Maysville. Daughters: Dianne Ballast and husband Dirk of Paoli and Dora Taylor of Purcell. A brother, R. C. Schlagal and wife Alice of Midland, Texas. 9 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Martha was preceded in death ny her parents; a brother, John Schlagal; and sister, Sue Myers. A Visitation and Memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm, Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Winans Funeral Home, Maysville under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home.
