Clarence Stewart Pratt, Jr.

Clarence Stewart Pratt, Jr. was born on February 2, 1932 to Clarence (Sam) and Viola Duncan Pratt, and he passed from this life at the age of 83 years on November 29, 2015 at his home in Lindsay Oklahoma surrounded by his family. Clarence was born in Hughes Oklahoma and lived the majority of his life in the Lindsay area. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. After returning from Germany, he worked as a heavy machinery operator and built houses. Clarence enjoyed building wood working projects and loved going to craft shows all over the United States. After returning from the service, he met and married Wanda Lou Dacus Pratt on October 7, 1952. They had 50 years together before her death in July of 2005. After marrying Wanda, he acquired a very large loving and supportive Dacus family. Clarence retired in 2007 and spent some time traveling to the Grand Canyon and to Washington State and California to see the Redwoods. The last few years he enjoyed his morning breakfast and coffee at Gas and Go. Visiting with old friends and making new friends. He also enjoyed meeting once a month with the Dacus family to eat lunch and visit. Clarence is survived by 4 of his children, Connie Avance and husband Dennis of Lindsay, Dennis Pratt and wife Marcia of Ardmore, Ronda Scruggs and husband Brent of Lindsay, and Vonda Hadley of Lindsay. Grand Children are Chad Allison and wife Desiree, Clay Allison and wife Barbara, Michael Morris and wife Monica, Letha Ogden and husband Kevin, Andrea Eaton and husband Waylon, Candace Bridgman and husband Reggie, Cassie McElrath and husband Collin, Ashley Perryman and husband Jimmy, Valerie Clary and husband Zach, Mikah Hickman Brian Avance, Justen Avance, and Dee Dee Crawford. Great grandchildren include Tanner Searcy and wife Alazia, Saydi Gibson and husband Darren, Ellanee, Abbee, and Meladee Allison, Alyssa and Waylon Allison, Jacie and Easton Bryce, Savannah and Zachary Householder, Ethan, Emma, and Kendal Morris, Lily and Bella Eaton, Clare McElrath, Caiden and Hannah Coleman , Harper Perryman and Owen Hickman. Great-great grandchildren include Trevor Searcy, Bryden, Kaegan, and Jayden Gibson. He is survived by one brother, Keith Pratt and wife Linda, two sisters-in-law, Ann Pratt and Virginia Pratt. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Pratt, two sons, Ricky Glenn Pratt and Douglas Ray Pratt, two grandsons, Michale Paul Pratt and Clinton Douglas Morris. His Parents, Sam and Viola Pratt, two sisters, Myrtle Ophelia Smith and Francella Webb and husband Kenneth. Brothers, Charlie Pratt and wife Pearl, Clyde Pratt, and Bob Pratt. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 10 am at the church of Christ at Lindsay Oklahoma. Arrangements are being handled by Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
