Our loving mother Nancy Ann Ely died at home on Oct 10, 2015 in Mesquite, Texas surrounded by family and friends. Nancy Ann was born April 23, 1939 and was the third child of Claude Ely, Jr. and Gladys Marie (Hauser) Ely of Red Rock, Oklahoma. Nancy Ann spent most of her young life in Red Rock, Oklahoma with her family and grandmother Mable Washabaugh Wilson Franklin, brother and sister, Harvey Ely and Blanche Osborne. She was a graduate of Ponca City Senior High School Class of 1957. After which she married and moved to Texas. She lovingly raised six children and continued with her love of art. As the children grew and moved away, Nancy pursued a career in real estate, and continued her work as an Artist. She loved art in all forms and used many different mediums to express the world around her; although watercolor and acrylics were her favorite. She became a published Artist in 2006, with her book of collective works “The Brush Strokes of an American Women”. She never tired of teaching art and sharing her work with her family and friends.
