Edna Margaret Caldwell

Edna Margaret Caldwell of Maysville was born on November 9, 1929 in Wallville, Oklahoma to Hance J. Rawson and Edna Earl (Owen) Rawson. She passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2015 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 85 years. Margaret grew up in the Maysville area where she graduated from Maysville High School. On January 21, 1947 she married Paul C. Caldwell in Gainesville, Texas. They lived in California and Mesa, Arizona before moving back to Maysville in 1960. She worked at McCaskill’s Nursing Home as a nurses aide and worked as a cook for Field’s Pie Kitchen for 30 years. Margaret loved fishing and cooking. Her family said she made the best biscuits and chocolate gravy and nobody has ever been able to make them as good as she did. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Maysville. Margaret will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her survivors include her sons, Harold Caldwell of Kingston and Frank Caldwell of Davis. Daughters: Linda Voyles of Pauls Valley; Rita Harmon and husband Don of Chickasha; Patsy Thompson of Del City; and Peggy Sirmons and husband Wade of Justin, Texas. Brothers: Wayne Rawson of Oklahoma City, Dave Rawson of Lawton, and Hance “Happy” Rawson of San Antonio, Texas. A sister, Betty Keef of Newcastle. 19 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; children, Leta Marie, Cheryl Ann, Arthur Lee, and Willie Earl; grandson, Scotty Caldwell; great grandson, Jonathon Cope; and son-in-law, Doyle Thompson. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Winans Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the First Assembly of God Church, Maysville with Rev. Billy Davenport and Carlos Vinson officiating. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
