Randal Douglas “Randy” Smith, 61, of Lindsay was born on February 4, 1953 in Dilly, Texas to Cecil Duncan Smith and Freida (Johnson) Smith. He passed away on Friday, June 6, 2014 in rural Grady County from a traffic accident. Randy lived in Lindsay all of his life, graduating from Lindsay High School. He worked in the oilfields around Lindsay and was currently working as a sandblaster for his son, Zach. He liked deer hunting, gardening, and hanging out with his friends. Randy enjoyed working and as a 61 year old he could outwork any younger person. He loved jogging every day. He was affiliated with the Missionary Baptist Church. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His survivors include is his sons: Gary Smith of Marlow; Dustin Smith and wife Whitney of Norman; and Zach and wife Katrina of Lindsay. His mother, Freida Smith of Lindsay. Mother of his children, Janice Smith Griffin of Marlow. Brothers: Rodney Smith and wife Skeeter of Lindsay and Robert Smith of Lindsay. 5 grandchildren: Hailey Pletcher and husband Dylan, Garren Gray and wife Megan, Ashlynn Smith, Waylon Smith, and Madison Smith. Great-grandchildren: Lexi Gray and Landon Gray. and other family members and friends. Randy was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Smith and his brother, Roger Smith. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at the Missionary Baptist Church in Lindsay with Rev. Dennis Clark officiating. Burial will be in the Bradley Cemetery under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
