Max Alan Bertram of Maysville was born on June 24, 1951 in Lemmon, South Dakota to Fred and Joan (Mikelson) Bertram. He passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at his home north of Maysville at the age of 62 years.Max attended a Lutheran School in Perry and then graduated from Shawnee High School in 1970. He worked as a National Certified home inspector for the Housing Authority. He was proud to have attended culinary school and enjoyed cooking. Max learned welding at Bacone Technical School. He lived in the Bethel area for 17 years before moving to Maysville on May 31, 2013. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, RV camping at the lake, and watching animals such as deer feeding at his feeders. Max liked to watch OU and Dallas Cowboys football games and Nascar. He was affiliated with the Baptist church. Max will be dearly missed by his family and friends.Survivors include his wife Sherry Beams of Maysville.Son, Joshua Bertram and wife Shanna of Bethel.Step-sons: Ryan Sheppard and wife Shellee of Prague; and Grant Gleckler and fiancée Rita Clark of Norman.Step-daughter, Bailey Gleckler and fiancé Ryan Minyen of Moore.Brothers: Steve Bertram and wife Glee of Edmond; and Mike Bertram and wife Anita of Tecumseh.Granddaughter, Kayleigh Bertram.and Step-grandchildren: Jovey, Tyler, Zoe, Cade , Rylee, and Marlee. Max was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Joan Bertram.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Winans Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Tom Amos officiating. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Purcell under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
