George Layton, Jr. Born: February 9, 1952 at Indianapolis, Indiana to George and Betty Layton Died: January 21, 2014 at his home in Maysville, Okla. Age: 61 George lived in Maysville the majority of his life moving to the area from Indiana. During his working years he was employed by Ray’s Well and Capital as an oilfield operator until his health retired him from the oilfield industry. He was close to his family and enjoyed visits from them. Survivors: Sons: John Layton and his wife Kimberly of Maysville, Ok., Shawn Layton and his wife Stevie of Llano, Tx., James Robert Blackwood, Llano, Tx., and Brian Layton, Tx. Daughters: Rhonda Layton of Elmore City, Ok. and Teresa Kennedy of Elmore City, Ok. Sisters: Patricia Layton of Indiana, Sherry Wycoff and husband Greg of Maysville, Ok., Debbie Martin and husband Danny of Paoli, Ok. Grandchildren: 8 George was preceded in death by his parents George and Betty Layton and one son, George Layton III, and brother, John Layton. Grave side services will be held Friday, January 24, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. at the Maysville Cemetery with Rev.
