James Luther DaVoult, Jr.

James Luther DaVoult, Jr. of Lindsay was born on September 7, 1947 in Lindsay, OK to James Luther, Sr. and Josie Virginia (Hearon) DaVoult. He departed this life on December 19, 2013 in Lindsay at the age of 66 years. James married Barbara Sue Blackwell on July 9, 1966 in the VA Hospital Chapel in Amarillo, Texas. He loved to fish, raise animals, play cards and dominoes with his brothers and kids. James attended church at Grace Full Gospel Lighthouse in Lindsay. His survivors include his wife of 47 years Barbara of the home. A son James Luther DaVoult III and wife Karen of Maysville. Daughters: Jody Brown and husband John of Lindsay; and Sharon DaVoult of Lindsay. Brothers: Buddy Clark of Lindsay; Ray Clark of Comanche; Billy Davoult of Rush Springs; Gary Don of Duncan; and Danny of Lindsay. Sisters: Mary Owens of Foster and Martha Mitchel of Lindsay. 9 grandchildren: Sean DaVoult, James Lyle DaVoult, Jamie Watts, Jessica DaVoult, Miranda McCoy, Jenny Morse, Rowdy Looney, Albyrni Looney, and Jaycee DaVoult. 8 great grandchildren: Raven, Haylee, Kaylee, Brianna, JR, Elizabeth, Khloi, and Jasper. James was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Wanda Sharp. A memorial service honoring his life will be held at a later date.
