Carolyn Georgette Johnson

Carolyn Georgette Johnson of Maysville passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2013 in Purcell, OK at the age of 49 years. She was born on August 18, 1963 in Purcell to Ray Jean Johnson and Lucy Lavetta (Sorrels) Johnson. Carolyn lived in the Whitebead, Pauls Valley, and Maysville areas all of her life. She attended Whitebead School and later obtained her GED. She had worked as a cashier in grocery stores. Carolyn enjoyed visiting with her friends, especially Royce Richardson and Judy Chandler. She was known to “speak her mind” on things. She was known as Nana to her grandchildren. Carolyn was affiliated with the Holiness Church. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her survivors include her mother, Lucy Johnson of Maysville. Son, Bobby Johnson of Maysville. Daughter, Lisa Resendiz of Maysville. A brother, Gary Johnson of Maysville. 4 grandchildren: Kaleb Johnson, Carrie Johnson, Seth Johnson, and Arriana Johnson. and a host of other relatives. Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Ray Johnson; and 2 brothers, Timothy Dean Johnson and Bobby Ray Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Winans Funeral Home Chapel, Maysville, OK.
