Richard Brummett

Richard Brummett,78, formerly of Maysville passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at his home in Moore. He was born on September 11, 1934 in Maysville, Oklahoma to Dex and Ina Mae (Six) Brummett. Richard lived in Maysville and attended school here graduating as the Class Valedictorian in 1952 . During high school he worked for Lee Ritchey Ford in Maysville. He received a degree in Aeronautical Engineering in 1956 from the University of Oklahoma. Richard put his degree to work at Aerocommander in Norman, Gulf Stream at Wiley Post Airport, and Boeing Aircraft in Midwest City. His hobby was photography and he liked to shop for antiques. He was also a historian and enjoyed talking to people about Maysville history. Richard will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His survivors include his brother, Jerry Brummett of Moore. A sister, Dexene McGuire of Moore. Niece, Nikki Owen of Oklahoma City. Great nephew, Jason Owen of Oklahoma City. Great niece, Amanda Owen of Moore. Great great niece, MyKayla Owen of Oklahoma City. Aunt Noma Beck Six of Midland, Texas. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Dex and Ina Mae Brummett. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, February 25, 2013 at Winans Funeral Home Chapel with Dwight Brown officiating.
