Jesse Frank Mullins, Sr. of Maysville passed away at his home on Friday, February 8, 2013 at the age of 89 years. He was born on December 4, 1923 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Charles Leland Mullins and Louisa Clementine (Hallford) Mullins. Jess graduated from Oklahoma A & M with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering. He loved his country and he served it in the U. S. Army during World War II. He married Maxine Lemmons on September 2, 1951 in Conway, Arkansas. Jess and Maxine moved to Maysville in 1960 and he worked as an engineer for Texaco for 35 years. He was a man of values and high integrity. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and traveling with the Sojourners, preaching and teaching the love of God. Jess was an avid reader and he liked to travel the American West. He loved his family and spending time with them. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Maysville. Jess will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his sons: Jesse Mullins, Jr. and wife, Kit of Abilene, Texas; and Tom Mullins of Lexington. A daughter, Sharon Kay Richey of Fort Worth, Texas. Brother, Ralph Mullins of Ventura, California. Grandchildren: Brandon Mullins, Sabrina Roberts, Holly Mullins, Gemma Hobbs, and Reagan Richey. Great grandchildren: Zoe DePrang, Eva Richey, and LeStat, Jasmine, and Cheyenne Jesse Mullins. Jess was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maxine in 1998; and a brother, Charles Leland Mullins, Jr. There will be a family visitation at the funeral home from 6 to 8 pm Monday, February 11, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the Church of Christ in Maysville with Dwight Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
