Arthur "Art" Eugene Terrel

Arthur “Art” Eugene Terrel passed away Monday, December 31, 2012 at his home in Lindsay at the age of 65 years. He was born on February 25, 1947 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to J. W. and Marie Dolly (Doolin) Terrel. Art graduated from Stillwater High School. He married Barbara Barnett on November 4, 1983 in Miami, Oklahoma. His job transferred him from Guthrie to Lindsay, where he worked for Plains Trucking Crude Oil until he retired. After retirement from Plains, Art worked for Tucker Construction. He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, and drinking coffee at the Ranch House. Art was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lindsay. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His survivors include his wife, Barbara of the home in Lindsay. A son, Justin Terrel of Stillwater. Step-sons: Robert Dorn of Sallisaw and Sohn Stone of Noble. Step-daughter, Stacy Sellers of Enid. Half-sister, CeAnn Half-brothers: Roy Dulin, Richard Terrel, and Bill Terrel. 6 step-grandchildren. And a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Lindsay with Rev. Randy Allen officiating. Burial will be at 3:30 pm, Saturday, January 5, 2013 in the A. J. Powell Memorial Cemetery at Hominy, Oklahoma under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
