David "Dave" N. Walker

David “Dave” N. Walker of Maysville passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at the Norman Regional Healthplex at the age of 71 years. He was born on April 9, 1941 in Bakersfield, California to Ethan Allen Walker and Martha Lucille (Morrisette) Walker. Dave had lived in Oklahoma during the 50's and then moved away only to return in 1970. While living in California he worked on a dairy farm and as a welder. When he returned to Oklahoma he was employed at Burford Corporation, worked as a used car salesman, and did jack repair. Dave married Tina Wallace on November 16, 1984 in Maysville. He enjoyed having the guys over to his house for coffee every morning, keeping up with the town activities, and Facebooking. He liked to watch Skylar participate in his activities. Dave would play practical jokes on his family and especially at Halloween. He was also known to make up his own songs while driving in the car. His survivors include his wife Tina of the home in Maysville. Sons: Marty Walker of Wynnewood and Skylar Nicholas Walker of the home. Daughters: Melanie Williams and husband Marvin of Norman; April McCright and husband Bob of Fort Worth, Texas; and Holly Burns and husband Steve of Fort Worth, Texas. Brother, Don Walker of Springfield, Missouri. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. And many other relatives and friends. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, and 3 brothers. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Maysville, Oklahoma with Rev. Danny Gamble officiating.
