Scotty Wayne Caldwell

February 26, 1971 — February 5, 2012

Scotty Wayne Caldwell was born February 26, 1971 in Pauls Valley, OK to Harold Ray and Gertie (Ware) Caldwell. He passed from this life at his home in Maysville at the age of 40 years. Scotty lived in Maysville all of his life attending Maysville Schools and graduating in 1990. While in school he played football and later became a strong supporter of the Maysville Football program and an avid OU football fan. Scotty was raised by his grandparents, Paul and Margaret Caldwell who always had his best interest at heart. He served for 2 years in the National Guard. Scotty married Kacy Bonner on April 12, 2000 in Van Buren, Arkansas. He worked as a truck driver for Conoco for 7 years before retiring in May due to his health. Scotty was proud of his country, community, and his involvement with the volunteer firefighters in which he served for 7 ½ years. He was known for bringing laughter to everyone and loved spending time outdoors. Scotty was Kacy’s best friend and loved being a dad and papa. He was saved and baptized 17 years ago and is a member of the Maysville Assembly of God Church. If Scotty were here, he would encourage each of you to have a personal relationship with God and that death is not the tragedy - a life not lived as a gift is the tragedy. Scotty was very thankful to have such a great group of men he called his friends that he considered to be his brothers. He will be greatly missed by his family and many, many friends. Survivors include his wife, Kacy of the home in Maysville. His grandmother “Mama”, Margaret Caldwell of Pauls Valley, OK. Father, Harold Caldwell of Kingston. Mother, Gertie Keenom of Norman, OK. Children: Joshua Caldwell and his wife, Shannon of Roff, OK; and Brittany Caldwell of Farmington, Arkansas. Grandson, Brecken Caldwell. Sisters: Cynthia Gauthier of Oklahoma City and Stephanie Harrison and husband Ben of Wellston, OK. Mother-in-law, Lee Bonner of Maysville, OK. Sister-in-law, Charl Sparks and husband Kevin of Davis, OK. 5 nephews, 1 niece, and many other extended family members. Scotty was preceded in death by his grandfather, Paul Caldwell; father-in-law, Wes Bonner; and step-father, Glenn Keenom. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at the First Assembly of God Church, Maysville, OK with Rev. Danny Gamble and Mike Deviney officiating.
