Sherri L. Carr, 57, of Maysville passed from this life on Wednesday evening, August 3, 2011 at her home with her family by her side. She was born December 15, 1953 at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to W. H. “Bill” and Bertha Verne (Bailey) Neal. Sherri grew up in Maysville where she attended school, graduating from Maysville High School in 1972. On March 5, 1976 she married Terry Carr. Sherri had owned and operated “The Old Country Store and Tea Room” in Maysville. She enjoyed reading, antiques, collecting “I Love Lucy” and “Wizard of Oz” memorabilia. Sherri loved being a “Nana” to her grandchildren, Toby and Taryn. She was a very giving and caring person who possessed an infectious smile. Her home was always open to Todd’s friends, and she would love and care for all stray animals. Sherri was a member of the First Baptist Church of Maysville. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. Sherri’s survivors include her husband, Terry of the home. Son, Todd Carr and his wife, Terra of Maysville. Her mother, Bertha Neal of Pauls Valley. Sister, Carolynn Lenore Neal of Norman. Grandchildren, Toby and Taryn Carr of Maysville. Mother-in-law, Sadie Carr of Maysville. Brother-in-law, Tim Carr and his wife, Dana of Maysville. Sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Carr of Norman. Several nieces and nephews. And numerous friends made throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her father, W. H. “Bill” Neal; father-in-law, Bill Carr; and brother-in-law, Tony Carr. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Maysville with Rev. Steve Spangler and Rev. Charley Henthorn officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, Oklahoma under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
