Arlen Ray Brown, 76, of Lindsay passed away on Friday, July 22, 2011 at his home south of Lindsay. He was born December 3, 1934 at Wallville, Oklahoma to Earl Franklin Brown and Lois Lottie (Jensen) Brown. Ray had lived in the Lindsay area all of his life. He graduated from Hughes High School in 1953. Ray married Susie Largent on August 11, 1956, at the First Assembly of God Church in Lindsay. Most of his working years, he was self-employed. Ray had owned a propane business where he enjoyed hauling the propane and visiting with his customers. He also worked for Steve Hall for a number of years. Ray was a truck driver where he had worked hauling cattle, and dirt and rock . Ray enjoyed doing yard work, having big dinners with his family and visiting with his many friends. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Lindsay, where he was a retired trustee. Ray will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Survivors: His wife Susie of the home. 2 Sons: Alton Ray Brown and wife Naomi of Maysville and John Paul Brown and wife Jody of Lindsay. 2 Daughters: Evon Donaho and husband David of Maysville and Charlotte Pigg and husband Terry of Pauls Valley. 1 Brother: Arvil Fay Brown of Lindsay 9 Grandchildren: Scotty Donaho, Kim Glass and husband Aaron, Justin Brown and wife Rachel, Kristi Brown, Sean DaVoult and wife Heather, Jamie Watts and husband T.J., Shaunna Pigg, Ben Pigg and Ely Pigg, 8 Great Grandchildren: Breanna Brown, Dalton Brown, Jessica Brown, Wesley Alexander Brown, Braxton Taylor, Raven Shylynn DaVoult, Haylee Dawn DaVoult and Sean Anthony DaVoult Jr. and by other relatives and many many friends made throughout the years. Ray is preceded in death by his parents Earl and Lois Jensen Brown and by a sister Bertie Mayhan. ******Family and Friends visitation time will be Monday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Funeral Home Chapel. ****Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at the First Assembly of God Church in Lindsay with Rev. Rodney Hutcheson, Rev. John Hornbeck and Dallen Wright officiating Burial will be in the Erin Springs Cemetery under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
