Lula Mae Richards, 81, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2010 at Norman, Oklahoma. She was born a twin on January 1, 1929 at Harjo, Oklahoma to Harvey Anderson and Edna Marie (Hogan) Bryson. Lula grew up in the Maud area. When she was nine years old, her father died and so her step-dad, James Brison raised her. On April 28, 1945, Lula married Delbert Richards. In 1949 they moved to the Lindsay area where Delbert worked for Warren Petroleum. She was a homemaker and a self-employed beautician. Lula enjoyed her family, fishing, bingo, dominoes, and playing cards. Lula’s survivors include her son, Tye Sand Richards and his wife, Janice of Lindsay. Daughters: Carolyn Mae Williams and her husband, Ronnie Wayne of Lindsay; and Rita Delette Blackwell and her husband, Larry of Lexington. Brothers: Charles Wesley Brison and James Edward Brison Sisters: Wanda Jean Threet of Wellston and Harlene Ann Minnix of Tulsa. 12 Grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delbert; daughter, Pamela Sue Cooper; son, Dee; a great grandchild, Luke Charles; and her twin sister, Beulah Fay Minnix. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the Erin Springs Church of God with Rev. Gregg Hatchett and Rev. Ralph Conklin officiating.
