Richard D. “Dickie” Davidson Born: July 22, 1930 at Gracemont, Oklahoma. Died: March 26, 2010 in Oklahoma City Age: 79 Mr. Davidson has been a lifetime resident of this area. He attended school at French and graduated from Maysville High School in 1950. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Korea as an ambulance corpsman. After Korea he worked at Tinker Air Force Base as a civilian employee retiring in 1976. Dickie later worked at Burfords, Roy Wilson Carpet Co., APCO with C.F. Pyle, and Vernon Beck Oil Company. On March 30, 1974, he married Mary Ona Cline Wood. Dickie loved Bluegrass music, playing the Dobro, guitar, reading western novels, and playing Phase 10. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Maysville. Survivors: His wife, Mary of the home. 1 son, Ronnie Wood of Maysville 1 Daughter, Debbie Carter and husband Kim of Edmond 1 Sister, Peggy Gail Easley of Derby, Kansas Grandchildren: Christopher Carter and wife Jessica of Tulsa Lezlie Carter of Edmond, Haleigh Wood of Weatherford and Julie Wood of Wayne a great-granddaughter, Brylie Wood of Wayne and Dickie’s favorite dog Tippy. Dickie is preceded in death by E.A. “Buck" Davidson, Perilla Davidson and Clemmie Hopkins. ######Grave side services will be held Monday morning, March 29, 2010, at 10:30 am at the Maysville Cemetery with Rev. Ralph Chapman officiating with burial under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
