Lora Francis White

September 19, 1913 — March 3, 2010

Lora Francis White, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend joined her Heavenly father on March 3, 2010. She was born on September 19, 1913 to Joseph Sidney “Papa Tom” and Jesse Elizabeth Lewis where she was raised in Maysville, OK. She was a graduate of East Central Teacher College with a degree in Mathematics and had been a teacher, principal, Bible scholar, avid gardener, cook, and seamstress. She was also a charter member of the Ridgecrest Church of Christ. Lora is survived by her husband of 69 years, Euel; daughter Dana and Fred Ward of Midwest City, daughter Lisa and Jim McWhirter of Choctaw. Fondly known as Grannie, she is also survived by her grandchildren Jason and Sandie Ward, Tara and Brandon Schneider, Jena and Adam Barocio, Marci and Josh Simmons, Julie and Scott Parkhurst, Scott and Allyson McWhirter. Grannie will also be greatly missed by her great-grandchildren Camden John, Rylee Jo, Raigan Jae, and Caleb Lee as well as a host of other family and lifelong friends. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 5, 2010 at 10:00 am at the Del City Church of Christ. Interment will follow at the Maysville Cemetery at 3:30 pm, Friday, March 5, 2010 with burial under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
