Burl Holland, 83, of Lindsay died on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Integris Southwest Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born a triplet February 16, 1927 at Lindsay to Jess Conrad and Annie Sarah (Crawford) Holland. Burl was a lifetime resident of Lindsay, he attended Pike’s Peak School. He served his country in the U.S. Army as a MP during WWII. Burl worked in the oilfield driving a truck. His family said he was a workaholic. Burl liked mowing lawns. He enjoyed his grandchildren very much. Burl will be missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his sons: Steven Holland and Ron Holland both of Lindsay. Daughter, Rhonda Olney and her husband, Richard of Lindsay. 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and another one on the way. Burl was preceded in death by his 2 brothers, Steve and Earl Holland; and 2 sisters, Murl and Katherine. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at the Eastside Holiness Church with Rev. Steve Mayhan officiating. Burial will be in the Greenhill Cemetery under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, Oklahoma. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
