John Robert Layton

John Robert Layton Born: December 19, 1953 at Indianapolis, Indiana to George and Betty (Mather) Layton. Died: September 16, 2010 at his home in Maysville, Oklahoma Age: 56 John has lived in this area since 1974, moving here from Indianapolis, Indiana. John was an oilfield gauger for Washita Flow Tester. He worked hard in the oilfield, was a great father, good husband, and a World War II history buff. John was dedicated to his family and grandchildren. He was always willing to help everyone in his family and was well liked by his co-workers. John enjoyed the daily news on MSNBC and was one to sometimes disagree with them and told them so face to screen. Survivors: Mother: Betty Layton of Maysville His wife: Ivy Layton of Norman, Oklahoma Daughters: Tifarah Layton of Purcell Angie Brooks of Norman Tracey and Dennis Berrios of Purcell Brother: George Layton Jr. of Maysville Sisters: Pat Franklin of Indianapolis Sherri Wycoff of Maysville and Debbie Herrington of Maysville 5 grandchildren: Chloe Brooks, Sophia Brooks, Gabriel Berrios, Savannah Berrios and Gavin Layton Berrios as well a other family members and friends made throughout the years. ****Chapel services will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 18, 2010 at the Winans Funeral Home Chapel under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
