Flora Reed

Flora Anderson Reed, 82, of Pauls Valley, OK was born April 26, 1927 at Stuart, Oklahoma to Dixon and Noley Arpelar Anderson. She passed from this life on Friday, January 8, 2010 at the Carl Albert Indian Hospital at Ada. Flora had moved to the Garvin County area in 1955. She was an excellent provider for her children. Flora had worked cutting broomcorn, picking cotton, and picking up pecans. She enjoyed going coon hunting, garage sales, and collecting different things. Flora was affiliated with the Baptist church. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her 3 daughters: Wanda Davis of Maysville; Shirley McMillan of Pauls Valley; and Sherry Rhodes and her husband, David of Ada, Oklahoma. 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 more on the way, and 7 great great grandchildren. and by numerous other relatives. Flora was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer Reed, Sr.; 4 sons, Elmer Reed Jr., Jimmie Reed, Charles Reed, and Ronald Reed; a granddaughter, Donna Dutton; 2 brothers, Frank Anderson and William Anderson; 2 sisters, Nora Cochanaur and Ina Mae Vance. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, January 12, 2009 at Winans Funeral Chapel, Maysville with burial in the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
