Bodie Lane Green was born March 31, 2005 at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Allen J. and Kimberly A. (Oliver) Green. He died Wednesday morning, March 18, 2009 after a tragic farm accident at the age of 3 years. Bodie was a “John Deere Man”, he always wanted to be with his daddy, whether it was farming or feeding the cattle. He loved his sisters and enjoyed playing “Hide and Seek” with them. Bodie liked playing in his sandbox and shooting his BB gun. He enjoyed his favorite lamb, Rocky, who he had shown at the local livestock show. Bodie’s mom liked to help him get dressed up and go to his Sunday School Class and church where the family attended the First Baptist Church of Maysville. It is said, “Bodie was not an accident, he was a purpose touching lives.” His survivors include his parents, Allen and Kim Green of the home. Sisters: Julie and Amanda Green of the home. Grandparents: Frank and Shyrel Oliver of Purcell; And Leo and Janet Green of Maysville. Great Grandparents: Loyd and Wanda Oliver of Fresno, California. Aunts and Uncles: Michael and Sharon Oliver of Oklahoma City, Wayne and Brandi Green of Maysville, Deborah and Ted Pigg of Paoli, David and Gail Grussendorf of Cedar Park, Texas. Cousins: Gabriel Oliver; Zachary and MaKayla Green; Christopher and Ashley Freeman; Jessica and Rachael Shanks. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Baptist Children’s Home. Funeral Services were held at 10:00 am, Saturday, March 21, 2009 at the First Baptist Church of Maysville. Rev. Charley Henthorn will officiate with burial in the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
